Pipefest Basle - Switzerland

The pipefest takes place on 18 July 2009.

• The pipefest parade starts at 11 a.m. in the city centre. The precise route is shown HERE
• The Details of the starting area will be shows here soon. There will be stewards who will guide you to the right place and  starting   
• After the parade a tribute to the chieftain with massed pipes and drums and harmony bands is planned. The location will be in front of Messe Basel (Trade center)
• Subsequent to this event participants may visit Tattoo Street or one of the numerous restaurants, relax and enjoy the local drinks and food.
• A special performance of the Basel Tattoo will begin at 5 p.m. and will be exclusively for participants and friends of Basel Pipefest 2009. Tickets and accomodation packages will soon be available for your stay in Basel.
• The post parade party begins at 3 p.m. (after the tribute) and will last until early hours of the morning.
• We will have different concerts at the post parade party: Gaberlunzie , TichFriar a swiss Band called Diefflieger and a lot of Pipes and Drums.
